Jacinta Guilhermino – AIM Associate trainer

Jacinta Guilhermino is a registered social worker with over 25 years’ experience, having qualified in 1994 at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a frontline worker she became a specialist in working with sexual abuse cases, working within management as well as policy development. In moving to the NSPCC, she held responsibility for the management and delivery of both sex offender and partner interventions, focussing primarily on family restoration and risk management. She has worked both with adults and young people who display harmful sexual behaviour. Jacinta worked as a Guardian ad Litem on the Channel Islands. She is a practice educator and assessor and continues to influence practice.
Jacinta co-founded DG Etali Ltd in 2011, a company that focuses on undertaking direct work with adults and young people who have sexually harmed. She offers training and consultation services to child protection charities, social care organisations, youth offending services, police and religious settings. As well as coaching and mentoring staff, she is an assessor for various academic institutions. Jacinta has authored a serious case review and continues to be involved in auditing cases. She is the Chairperson for NOTA South West. Jacinta co-authored the AIM Intervention Guidance – Working with Adolescents, their Families and Carers in 2019
